Priya offers three types of workshops:

The Purpose Workshop

Designing a memorable, meaningful gathering starts with a purpose. Learn this core concept and begin to define why are you gathering right now, in this way, with these people?

Gathering Foundations Workshop

Every gathering is an opportunity to create a temporary alternative world. Learn the foundations to change the way we connect, the way we understand one another, and the way we work together.

The Gathering Makeover

Artful gathering is a lifelong skill to nurture and refresh with each gathering you plan. Book a consultation to help you finesse your next high-stakes meeting or event.

The Purpose Workshop

Designing a memorable, meaningful gathering starts with a specific and disputable purpose. Without purpose, gatherings are at risk of feeling dull and repetitive. Learn to see (and seize!) the bigger opportunity.

Led by Priya in a personalized, interactive Zoom experience, The Purpose Workshop hones in on this core concept to help you elevate your next group experience.

2 hours of live teaching with breakout rooms.

WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES

1. Understand the anatomy of a good, helpful purpose.

Purpose is the foundation of a connective gathering. The biggest mistake we make when we gather is we assume that the purpose is obvious and shared. Priya guides you through the core elements that make up a good, useful purpose when planning a gathering.

2. Get to a specific, disputable purpose on your own.

How does one drill down to a useful purpose? Through live teaching and breakout sessions, you’ll practice the steps to identify a bold, useful purpose around which you can make crucial decisions about the rest of your gathering (the who, the when, the where, and the what.)

Gathering Foundations Workshop

Every gathering is an opportunity to create a temporary alternative world.

In this two-part workshop, Priya guides you through a personalized, interactive Zoom session around four key elements to help you begin to establish the foundations for your gathering.

4 hours total: Two 2-hour sessions of live teaching and breakout rooms.

WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES

1. Understand the anatomy of a good, helpful purpose.

The biggest mistake we make when we gather is we assume that the purpose is obvious and shared. You’ll begin to recognize what makes a good, useful purpose when planning a gathering.

2. Get to a specific, disputable purpose on your own.

How does one drill down to a useful purpose? You’ll move through the steps to identify a bold, useful purpose around which you can make crucial decisions about the rest of your gathering (the who, the when, the where, and the what.)

3. Harness the ability to quickly orient a room at the beginning of a gathering, as a host.

Learn the elements of a good host and how to effectively use your hosting power for the good of the group.

4. Understand the power of the opening, and know how to set the tone up front.

The workshop will attune you to the power of how you open, and give you practical tools on how to quickly shift a room in the first 5% of the gathering.

5. Understand the ingredients for a good closing.

Most gatherings don't end. They stop. Endings are one of the highest moments of meaning-making in a gathering. You'll learn how to create an ending that sharpens the rest of the gathering.

An interactive Zoom consultation with Priya to provide specific, practical ideas for changes that you can implement to host an intentional gathering.

During this 90-minute live redesign, Priya will scan the core design of your gathering for danger points and opportunities to pressure test your assumptions and locate your gathering magic.

The Gathering Makeover is best suited for a specific high-stakes future gathering you want an expert eye on. We suggest the decision-makers responsible for the event are on the call. Up to 5 attendees may participate. If you don’t yet have an event design, Priya will collaboratively ideate directions to explore.

The Gathering Makeover

COMPONENTS OF THE GATHERING MAKEOVER

1. Align your gathering's purpose and its design.

Learn to define your need and align with why you’re really gathering.

2. Assess and correct for the right level of risk at different parts of your gathering.

Evaluate how to add a bit of structure to your gathering and what factors to consider when planning your activities to connect and protect your guests and purpose.

3. Leave with a stronger, more integrated gathering design.

Let your new gathering design guide you as you plan and host your upcoming gathering.

4. In some cases: Go back to the drawing board.

Sometimes, The Gathering Makeover can illuminate a completely new need or idea and will help you pivot to a new gathering format.
